That is one clean car. Very nice. How much did you pick her up for?

Fingers 08-12-03 01:11 PM

Looks sweet! :) what kind of IC? Was it a kit? How much chassis cutting did you have to do? Piping custom or pre-made? Do you still have your A/C?
Thanks!

Nice!

casio 08-12-03 01:21 PM

who cares? look at the pics. makes me want to keep my midnight blue N/A and do a turbo swap instead of picking up a T2. wow. (if your car is anything like mine, though, it looks much better in pics). still, daaamn. "i'd hit it." out of spite and jealousy. *whistles* sexy mama. i've made my point.

Fitness Stain 08-12-03 01:43 PM

no under the hood shots ? :D

rx74prez 08-12-03 02:04 PM

It is the greddy 24v intercooler the new big one. Ha, yeah you got to cut a few things, I kept the bumper support so had to cut that, few metal brackets, some holes in the frame for the pipes, and the bumper got a nice little trim. It is alot of work, not just a little modification. Would have been alot easier if I threw away the p/s though.
I picked it up for 5500 2 years ago from an older guy, had to put a jspec in it last year. Interior is almost perfect, exterior is good, except for the normal rock chips on the hood and a few dings, but overall it is in real good shape. Yes I still have A/C and p/s too hot in FLorida not to.

Ahh only got one engine shot hopefully get more soon.

SidewaysFC 08-12-03 02:06 PM

how much was them wheels and what sizing?

DAN CARWIN 08-12-03 02:09 PM

your car looks TITS, if I could just say one thing though I think your car would look more sleek with out the sunroof visor. I had one on my GXL from Mazda and When I finally took it off I thought it looke 5x better.

rx74prez 08-12-03 02:09 PM

Konig sub-zeros they are 17 x 7.5 got them pretty cheap off ebay for like 950 with tires. Just a knock off Racing hart cp-35. Good thing is they are like 16lbs, pretty light and cheaper than Racing harts.

Yeah I want to take it off, but it is so nice opening the sunroof and not hearing all that wind noise specially on the interstate, If i get a new paint job it is gone for sure, its alright there for now.

Bio-Weapon 08-12-03 02:49 PM

thats so nice looking, the colour is fantastic, and that IC sitting up there looks damn sexy. :)

importboi22 08-12-03 02:49 PM

....wow....

SureShot 08-12-03 04:19 PM

Now that's an install!
He keeps the fan, the battery, the AC, & the PS - and it all fits.
Amazing..

Here is a thought - The reverse louvers that go in the old IC scoop opening to let out the extra heat.

1nastyturboII 08-12-03 05:28 PM

that looks better than britney spears in daisy dukes shorts!!!!!!!!!!!!

ERAUMAZDA 08-12-03 05:58 PM

sucks that you have to lose the foglight

Mills 08-12-03 06:19 PM

Hell yeah, I thought it was the coolest thing ever 'til I noticed that...

ponykiller 08-12-03 06:30 PM

Hope you changed your spark plugs before you did the install, cause they are gonna be a bitch to get at now!

That install is very nice looking. Great job!

rx74prez 08-12-03 07:34 PM

Ahh fog lights only get in the way..hehe yeah it kind of sucked, but now I got some big shinney pipes in their place. It looks real crowed in there but there is some room to get to the plugs (just cant change them till the car is completely cooled off), long skinney hands do help though

Bigretardhead 08-12-03 07:59 PM

where did the IC itself mount to? like where did the brackets and stuff go?

I picked up an older TRUST intercooler, and I'm kinda having trouble figuring out how it bolts up :( . so I was hoping that maybe it's similar to the NEW greddy one, at least how it mounts.

oh, and would you happen to have pictures of how you modified teh bumper support?

expl0d 08-12-03 08:01 PM

Super clean, yet mean. Bangin ride :bigthumb:

Cheers! 08-12-03 09:25 PM
