Open diff vs LSD diff

I thought that for LSD if you turn one of the wheels forward, then the opposite will turn the other way?

Someone confirm this for me?

Open diffs do that. LSD will turn the same way.

But what if you have Viscous LSD? I've read that it'll make considerable torque to lock them, not anything a human could generate by just turning the wheel.
