Exclamation odd ign. problem

here is the deal in a nut shell. I got an emanage installed said emanage and drove the car to greenville, about an hour from here. I had a full day of driving no problems, turned the car off and on serveral times. the next day i went to start the car and it wouldn't start. after a lot of trouble shooting that got me now where i figured it had to be the coils where bad because they where the only thing i didn't replace, plus the fact that i was only getting one spark out of them.

In my trouble shooting i've:
uninstalled the emanage
switched ecu's
switched cas
traced wires
checked for 12v at coils
checked ground at coils
check connection between the ecu and coils

now today i got a new set of coils and put them in. the car would start up and die, but it would at least start. i turned the car off and now it want start up again. i did notice the tach would bounce when the fuel pump was disabled, but as soon as i reconnected the fuel pump the tach would stop. I switched out the fuel pump thinking that was the problem but it did no good. Any clues was to what would keep the car from starting like this?

As you can see from the schematic below, there is no factory connection b/t the fuel pumps 12v and the 12v that goes to the coils.

Sooooo.....has someone ever added a fuel pump cut switch to the car and maybe bungled the installation and crossed the wires in the Circuit Opening Relay???

Has anybody ever done the Rewire of the fuel pump??? And maybe crossed some wires/??????

Depending how much trouble your willing to go to......you could go to your MAIN RELAY. Remove the Black/Green wire from one connector half, then remove the Black/Yellow wire from the other half of the connector. Now reconnect the plug with both of the abouve wires still removed.

Now connect the Black/Green wire to the Black/Yellow wire, and jump in the car and start it. Do you still have the problem??????

Be sure to disconnect the Black/GReen wire from the Black/Yellow wire when through running the engine. Because normally they don't connect to each other unless the key is to ON, and you'll run the battery down if they are left together.

Ok, i've gone and tested an *** load of wires, i've come to the conclusion i'm screwed. It looks like both my ECU's are bad. I installed and measured the voltages on all these locations on both ecu's, same thing on both. There must be a short some where in the car that is reaking havoc. Any ideas on where i should start checking things?
