No start after storage...

i just got back from overseas and I have had my 88 RX in storage for about 9 months. When i put it in storage it ran great now I can't get it to start. It turns over but won't fire. When i first pulled it out, i got it to start but it ran really rough and wouldn't stay running without a lot of throttle. Now i can't get it to start again. Any ideas for me?

You try deflooding it?

pull the enj inj relay right? yeah i did that

sounds to me like its probably just flooded... yank out the EGI fuse crank it for a bit, clean off your spark plugs and see if that does anything

did the deflooding procedure and cleaned the plugs, got it to fire(kind of). ran up to about 2000 rpms and when they started to drop i gave it some gas and it died.

I hope you drained the gas before you put it in storage.

If not try draining that old shit and putting in some new gas.

i didn't drain it but it was on empty

There may have been a little bit left in your injectors and gunked them up, try removing them and getting them cleaned.

put about 5 gals of super in it

change your fuel filter...u should tune anyway after storage..change/clean plugs, throttle body, air filter, wires if rusted, and fule filter

Having delt with this also, pull your bottom plug, then crank for a little bit with the EGI fuse pulled.

Then put about an oz of motor oil in each of the bottom plug holes. Put the plugs back in but leave the fuse out for now.

Now crak it again for a little bit to get everything coated.

Now put the fues back in and try firing it up. See what happens. For me i did this and it got it started.
