Never more than 150F...is that a problem?

I have a new autometer water temp gauge, and it never shows more than 145-150F...Wtf?!

Is that a problem?

I have a Koyo rad and mix of 60% De-ionized water with 40% coolant.

That is 65 degrees C. Much too cold.

Missing a thermostat? Stuck open?

Where is the probe located? 150 coming out of the rad may not be bad.....coming out of the engine thats too cold though.

Just on top of the water pump. Used the fitting for the electric fan since I dont have one.

hmmm. Then do you have a t-stat in good working order? Because that is a little cold for that location.

Spectator 07-18-07 03:26 PM

I'll check it out.
