Heres my question can i set up a N/A fc for competition in the all motor class? is it even possible? i think this would be interesting and a change from all the hondas.:D

Bump. Anybody?

if the car is pre-87 you can only compete in old school class.
|
hmmm huge J port or some other race port...huge carb...stripped gutted...fake windows...fake doors....slicks...wide slicks...
|
So what do you guys think i would be willing to do it if its even possible. jojo callos and some of those other drivers in their civics are making about 250-300 horsepower. Youre telling me the good ol rotary cant do that.

hell yeah it can, but itll be kinda expensive and take some tuning :-D

you can get an NA 7 to put out 250-300 rwhp with a full bridge port and fuel injection. This motor is going to be a top end beast, and have no power down low. If you are going to keep the revs above 5k the whole time, it could be competitive. you may need a close ratio transmission to be competitive, but it is possible. the only problem that you are going to run into is that the FC is a fat pig. if you want to go all motor, I suggest a 1st gen, r100, rx2, or rx3.... just my 2 cents.
There are rx3's, all motor, that I've personally seen that are running low 10s. I've heard that there are some 9 second NA's out there, but can't confirm. |

Originally posted by SpeedRacer 250-300rwhp on a brideport? I'm seriously doubting it. If you want to make that power, you'd have to go Peripheral port. And even that is QUITE a stretch if possible at all. Assuming no forced induction or NOS. |
