Disregard the above post. I got the lights working and the post doesn't even make sense to me and i typed it. So what the heck do i do to get my security system working. I know all the components work becouse i had the system working for an hour or so then it started doing this thing that instead of setting the alarm it would just keep beeping at me and the security light would not come on. To now where the whole system along with the seatbelt light in the dummy cluster have become dorment. Also the car makes no beeps of any kind.

sounds like you have a bad clock warning panel, and possibly a bad CPU

I wish there was anouther fc guy around me that has a working cpu that i could try. It will take so long for you to send me one just to find out that it wasn't my cpu. Is there any way i can just feed the warning cluster some power to get the seatbelt light to light up? This would def. point to a bad cpu right? Also i sthere any wires by the cpu that i could have knocked will taking it out to cause the car not to start? For some reason my car wont start now. It smells of really stronge gas when i try and start it so i think i just flooded it. I started it earlier for like 30seconds and just shut it off without the 3k rev. Maybe thats what did it.

ya know what. That my new plan. Can i just feed power to the security light from the connector that connects to the cpu. If i can get ot to light than i know its the cpu for sure. Now i just need to figure out what pins i should send some power though. could i send 12v through connection 1r and 1s on the lond plug? Which one it for ground? How should i approach this? I have a multimeter as well.

Is there any wires by the fuse box that i could have knocked off when removing my cpu that would cause the car to not start?

Sure the clutch switch disconnected would prevent the car from cranking

driftin8ez 10-18-05 07:45 PM

it cranks it just wont start. I've put the security system on the back burner again. I know need to get my car running which it was doing about 48hrs agai. Now it's not firing. I took out the plugs and cranked put them back in and still no luck. i even towed it round the block still wont start.

If it cranks and won't start it is unrelated to the CPU, and probably just flooded.

driftin8ez 10-18-05 09:59 PM

I hope its just flooded. My baby has been runing great for the entire time ive had her. ABout a month. Now she refuses to run for me:-( Im really getting worried i have to sell her and take a loss.

ok never mind. Im no longer a flooded rotary virgin. Man the first time is always the best:-) Now i know what its like so ill be able to to get her running again faster. Anyway my seatbelt light in the cluster works fine. There anyway i can feed 12v through the harness that connects to the cpu and try and get the securty light to light. If i can get it to light than i guess ill get my cpu rebuilt. So is there anyway to get my security light to light by putting power through the harness from the cpu?

You would just ground the wire.

One wire is 12 volts at the light, the other is ground.
