My friends think they will be able to beat me

Well I will have a 88 TII or a 89+ TII. And have about $3,000 to make it run perfect and add some here and there mods. I'm gonna try to get a racing beat turbo back exhaust and I heard it gives 58hp  and a Bönez Street-Comp Intake Kit. What my friends are putting me up against is a GSX eclipse (my worst fear) and a 90' Integra GSR. So what are my odds guys? Both are bone stock.

Get exhaust, and you will be quicker than both. Make sure you get a FCD, and a fuel pump before you get the intake.

RETed 07-31-01 09:16 PM

It's a good race if you race them all stock.
If the GSX is a good driver, it'll be damn close.
The GSR is a waste of time versus a Turbo II unless you screw up.

If you get the full exhaust, you'll walk away from both like they were standing still.

woooo hoooo!..im stoked!!!!...i love it when i hear about the RACING BEAT TURBO BACK SYSTEM!..i have it and i love it to death!..
Can i get somebody's opinion though???.Im planning to do this mods! would i be able to beat a stock 944TUrbo from a STOP LIGHT? or drag track??:

Racing Beat TURBO BACK SYSTEM
Racing Beat light steel flywheel w/ ACT S/S clutch
FCD
HKS FCON
HKS intake
Blitz BOV
FMIC
COMPRESSOR UPGRADE TO4
MILD STREET PORT
TB mod

A 944 Turbo puts out some major numbers - 1/4-mile in the mid-13 to high-13 second range.&nbsp 0-60mph is about 5.0 seconds.

To make an FC go this fast takes some major work, and it'll be straining a stock turbo.

It's a good race, but if you get the compressor upgrade tuned right, you should be able to edge him...

with turbo upgrade to T04... as long as your motor is in good shape and the fuel is there, you should be able to boost away from a stock 944 turbo...

Agent_D 08-01-01 12:31 AM

the GSR would be no problem for either the 87-88 or the 89-91 T2, the GSX would be more of a challenge, but still be a good race bone stock, with the exhaust and intake, yea like they said, they will probably seem to be standing still good luck :)

I agree on that!. my best friend owns a 944T and its hella quick!..not to mention the torque on that thing!..WHen we went camping over the weekend at Santa Barbara and he was driving his 944T he was behind me when suddenly him and this black 98ish mustang (supped up) started racing and zooming pass me. They were going i'd say 130+. He was 2 car length away from the mustang. I'd say they had a good 10 mile race. We cought up with him waiting for us on the side of the freeway. He gave me a thumbs up meaning he won the race!:bash: ..I know my car will have higher HORSE POWER rate but i dont think i will ever have his torque. :bash:

After im done putting my car together i will not even drive it until everything is fine tuned!..I will have to take it to either Mazdatrix or Mariah on a trailer if i have to. I really dont want to blow up the motor right away..=)

Is this true about the compressor upgrade???

1) Since its a bigger compressor it will not clear the lower intake manifold??? is this true or bull???This means you have to clock the compressor to clear the manifold.

2) One builder i heard, instead of putting a bigger compressor, he machines the stock one to fit a bigger wheel?..is this worth it?..i thought this upgrade is suppose to have a bigger compressor.

Pls check you PM also!..=) YOU'RE THE MAN!

You can run up to a 60-1 compressor housing (with slight clocking) on an FC.

This will work with up to a V-trim no problem.&nbsp A 60-1 compressor wheel will not fit in a machined stock Hitachi compressor housing.&nbsp An H-trim is borderline...
