My 13BT is finally together!

After staying up until 6:30 in the morning me and my friend finally finished putting the motor together. This is a fresh motor for my 87TII with new housings (5), seals, gaskets, and bearings. The only thing i reused was the rotors, eshaft, and gears..

I do have one problem and hopefully someone could answer it.

I- Can i use Series5 front cover and waterpump/housing???

II- I was tightening up one of the rear main gear bolt and it broke!..should i just leave it alone and torque the rest of the bolts??or do i need to remove it with a screw extractor?..

III- On the gasket set. I noticed there was alot of copper washers. Where do they go??..i know they dont go inside the engine?..

IV- Im going to run premix and i already removed my MOP (OMP)..should i remove the gear inside the front cover??..

I know i have more questions but dont want to bore you guys..anyways, thanx in advance!

The only thing i can comment on is the OMP thing. Just remove the whole thing, including the gear in the cover.
I THINK the S5 front cover will work fine, but the electric omp will throw a code to the ecu and put it in limp mode, but your using a haltech anyways, right?

You can't do that without running into problems with the front cover o-ring.&nbsp The front cover o-ring design is slightly different between Zenki versus Kouki front irons/front oil cover.&nbsp Any reason why you want to swap the front cover?

The stationary gear take a lot of load from the rotating motor - I would highly recommend removing and replacing this fastener.

Those "extra" copper washers are for the fuel rails.&nbsp If you tear down the fuel rails, there's a lot of crush washer in there.&nbsp Most people don't need them.&nbsp If you got extra laying around, I'd be more than willing to buy them off you!

I recommend it.&nbsp Else, it's just added resistance to the motor turning.&nbsp It's it'll be shooting oil at the block-off plate - if you remove it, then you get none of that happening.

RETed! thanx.. The only reason im trying to use an S5 front cover is because of my old water pump and housing. My S4 water pump/ housing is all rusted and i have an S5 water pump/ housing that looks fairly new that i took off a S5 Jspec. Obviously with the S4 front cover on the S5 water pump/ housing will not fit. If im going to have problems then i will ditch it and just buy an S4 waterpump/ housing..

The fastener will be removed...

About the copper washers. Im going to send my fuel rail to either to Paul at K2RD or BNR so i might need to replace those washers while im at it. Speaking of fuel rail, what should i do to the PD???.. i dont want to burn my new engine. Will replacing them with a new one avoid such a scary problem??

OK i will also remove the gears on the front cover..

Thanx!!
