Would a supercharged fc get as much gains as a Turbo II.

Whats your question? Would a S/C FC be faster than a stock TII? I would say yes.

I would say yes. Prior to the oil seals going (baby's getting a rebuild now) I was laying down 210hp at the rear wheels. You can find a lot more about my setup on my webpage, and there are links to other guys that also have the Nelson/Paxton kit. You'll also want to talk to Atkins, they now own Camden Superchargers.

So your askin if a S/C Rx7 would respond to the same mods as a TII? I wouldn't think quite as much but I have no real experience with Superchargers. Can someone help this man out? I really wouldn't know. Sorry.

Yes, the sc setup will respond to the same types of mods. For example, my kit was setup for 6lbs of boost on a completely stock motor, and was supposed to give a 40% increase in hp. That would take a stock NA from 120hp to about 170hp at the rear wheels. With my cone intake, header, high flow cat and cat back, and with adding enough fuel via bigger secondary injectors, I jumped to 210hp at the rear wheels. But unless I port the motor, that's about all I'm going to get.

You're talking aboutStreetPower's '88 with a supposedly upgraded blower. I wanted to know about upgrading my blower, so I sent him a couple of emails about it, and posted the question on this board, but he's never responded at all. In theory, I believe it might be possible, but he doesn't answer questions, nor has he posted a dyno sheet.

Oh, may I ask why you would need to port your motor to be able to get more than 210 to the wheels?

Guess I should have told you my constraints: I need to be able to pass emissions, and I don't want the exhaust noise to be too loud as its my daily driver, 20k miles/year. For the same reason I won't give up my air conditioning. Since the sc is already maxxed out, in fact I overspin it beyond 6100rpm, I can't get any more boost out of it. I've never been able to determine if the blower can be modified for more boost. Which leaves me with porting as the only mod that would give a substantial hp increase. I believe that other options, such as an ECU upgrade/replacement, getting rid of the power steering might provide some minor gains, but I don't think it would be that much. Which leaves: porting.
