measured flow of stock TII pump

One of our club does have access for professional testing of fuel pumps and thats what he does for his living. So we tought it would be nice to get some numbers from stock TII pump. We will do NA pump as well soon.

Here are results :

http://rx7cz.net/pdf/FCTII.pdf

and some comparsion to pump he was testing as well :

Neat.

Project84 03-31-06 05:08 PM

In the graph at the top where P= Pressure Q= Quantity I = what? What is I?

slpin 03-31-06 06:32 PM

current?

Project84 03-31-06 08:33 PM

It kinda looks like "I" is current and "A" is amps but I wasn't 100% sure.

RETed 03-31-06 11:40 PM

Are you going to test your Bosch -044 fuel pump too???

Might do that as well.

Yeah, I is current and A = amps to see what load does it put on system at certain pressure/flow.

ok, here is some update :

stock TII pump tested at 13,5V (first tests were at 12V)

http://rx7cz.net/pdf/FCTII13.pdf

stock NA pump tested at 12V

VW group pump (SLW MPI) at 12V

Thats all for now, still have few more pumps which we will test in same conditions.

arghx 05-02-06 07:44 AM

just looking at the graph... what pressure range do these pumps typically run on say a stock FPR?

Make sure you PM him the good news.

I was actually looking for this information last year, so it's helpful to me that it popped back up.

here are few more tests we did, will be testing Walbro 341 and stock FD pump in next weeks..

any info on the Cosmo, FD, or Supra pumps? Also, it's interesting how the Bosch 044 output (l/hr) is less sensitive to changes in voltage and fuel pressure.

hIGGI 04-27-10 11:32 AM

sorry, no chance to get my hands on Cosmo or Supra pump, will be testing stock FD pump in week or two...

for today i have test results from Walbro GS341 (255lph high pressure version)

12V

13,5V

RotaryRocket88 04-27-10 12:51 PM

Great info. There are many fuel pumps with little to no testing data, and then the others are all tested under different conditions. It's very handy to have all the popular fuel pumps tested on the same equipment at the same pressures/voltage. Too bad we can't see the supra or 20B cosmo pumps under the same conditions, but there is this chart showing both of them: http://www.stealth316.com/images/flowtest-denso.gif.

FelixIsGod29X 04-27-10 03:11 PM

Archive material!

JerryLH3 04-27-10 03:14 PM

I agree, definite archive material. I'm saving the pdfs just in case this somehow disappears.

Rub20B 02-22-13 06:21 AM

Seems the TII pump is quite weak compared to the results from the FD pump source: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...-rates-782878/

hiGGi, any chance to measure the AEM Pump, its priced quite cheap and specs are good (listed)
High Flow In-Tank Fuel Pump - Wideband O2 UEGO, Water/Methanol, Stand Alone Engine Management, Piggyback F/IC, Tru Boost Controller, Gauges, Automotive Performance Electronics, I have one but I was suprised how small it was when comapred to a 044

gxl90rx7 02-22-13 06:48 AM

how about walbro 400

hIGGI 02-24-13 10:58 AM

I am sorry, i dont have any new pumps at hand to test and friend changed jobs, so having them tested in same enviroment might not be as easy as before anyways....
