mazdaspeed engine mounts

Ok, so I got some mazdaspeed competition mounts and noticed when I installed my transmission mounts (I was doing the clutch) that they don't have threaded posts, they just rubbery ones... I thought no big deal, the bracket holds them in pretty tight, it shouldn't be an issue.

but then I went and looked at my engine mounts the other day and they're the same way. the posts that go through the brackets aren't threaded so you can't bolt them to the bracket... do they just sit in the brackets? that seems... scary?

can anyone confirm this? they didn't come with any directions or anything.
