Looking for O2 sensor connection to the harness on 1988 RX7 GTU
Hi,
I just bought a new Bosch O2 sensor with the wire and connector for my 88' RX7 GTU. The original sensor wires were long devoured as well as the cable to the harness. Does anyone know where I can find the O2 sensor wire from the harness I can connect my O2 sensor to? I've scanned past archives on this forum, but there is no clear answer. Can someone provide insight on how I can access the harness O2 sensor wire? Photos will be appreciated, but detailed instructions are fine too! It's on a FC4. Many thanks in advance! -Richard |
Not certain if the same on the '88, but the S5 has a shielded wire in the harness, a real pain to repair,
but if your harness is kaput, just hook it up directly to the ECU '88 N/A pin 2D. |
The harness is still in place. I'm looking for where the shielded wire emanates. I hear the S5 and S4 ECU pinouts could be different.

This might be for the S4:. But, how do I attach to the ECU pin 2D? Run a wire from the O2 sensor wire into the chassis and splice it with pin 2D on the ECU?

When I did mine, I went into the harness and repaired the shielded wire, but as you stated, just cut the
wire at the ecu and run a wire to the sensor. |
