***** for wiper and headlight switch falling out

Is there a way to secure the ***** for the wiper and headlight switches so they don't keep falling out?

look at the plastic where they mount to the rod. ensure that each **** is not cracked at the mounting point. if the ***** are falling out, something is worn. they should fit in snugly. check to see that the metal actuating rods are not stripped on the ends that enter the switches themselves.

Nothing appears to be cracked or worn. I guess i could just put some silicon onto the metal connectors of each **** so that they adhere during operation sufficiently to not fall out of the switch, and the bond won't be so strong that the ***** or switch will break while attempting to remove the switches from the dash.
