jumpered wire behind dash

alright i was replacing my dash and i found a wire that has been jumpered it looks like it originally went to the plug next to it.

they are green/black,red/black wires and they are pretty thick. is this suppose to be like that or why is it jumpered?

Starter interlock has been disabled.
If you can start your car without pressing in the clutch pedal, this is why.

You might rework that item and put/crimp on a couple of spade connectors on each end of that wire, then reinstall the wire. From the picture it seems to be just a wire bared at each end crammed into the sockets.

What could possibly go wrong?

Hmm, I'll have to take a look at mine, I can start it without pushing in the clutch as well. Is there anything that can fail and disable the clutch interlock system? I've glanced under my dash a few times and don't recall ever seeing any jumpered connectors or anything.

Not all early RX have a clutch interlock switch. I own one. Plus others have said the same thing in past threads.
