J-spec wiring harness on A-spec car
I was wondering if a J-spec t2 wiring harness would be a direct swap on an A-spec car? Will everything plug in without any modificatio?

not sure about the harness but I now the ECUs are NOT interchangable
|
I still need to know about the diffference from the wiring harness.

I believe the JSpec harness enters in the other side of the car compared to a ASpec. The ECU will not fit under the driver's pedals, so it they put the ECU under their passanger side, wich is our driver's side.
So, all in all, I don't think it will work. I am unsure though, I have only seen them with cut harnesses. |
I know in theory it may or may not be possible, has anyone ever tried to change it over?

IT can run the engine ok, but your car will not be streetable.
Due to differences in RHD and LHD, there is a major plug and set of wires missing on the jspec engine harness. IT is a stretch, but it *will* reach to the ecu in an aspec car, and operate the engine. There are 2 plugs for the ecu, and 2 larger plugs that connect to the "dash" harness on an aspec engine harness. ON the jspec, there is only one of the largest plugs. This leaves out such features as wipers, cruise, a/c, heat, blower motor, etc. But it will reach and it will operate the engine. |
Thanks for the help hypntyz7.

can you use the jspec AFM and boost sensor with a US ecu?
|
yup. Everything but the wiring harness is the same.
