Interest in Vert rollbar/hoops

Hey guys. I now work for an off road specialty shop and we have more than enough ability to build custom cages.

I know the vert guys are always looking for rollbars and seat hoops (like Z3's) so I am gauging interst for them to be made.

Coupe cages to come ;)

Check out www.eoronline.com to see some of the buggies and cages we build.

Thanks,

DJ

Sign me up. I really need a 4 point bar at least. The top must remain functional...

Any idea on price?

djmtsu 05-30-06 10:39 AM

All I need is a car to use for mock up and fitment checks. I have a coupe, but that work will be after we get vert systems out there.

Keep in mind...anything is possible.

RRTEC 05-30-06 11:36 AM

I have just that car.. My interior is mostly pulled too...

djmtsu 05-31-06 08:19 AM

Bump.

Prices will be very reasonable for these cages, and we can ship a full cage say for a coupe in pre-cut formed pieces that would just require simple welding to install.

This thread is a "feeler" to see if there is interest. If significant interest is found and the thread poster wishes to produce a product, he must register on the forum as a vendor by contacting either BOOSTD 7 or Jason.

Also, bumps are not allowed in the technical forums.

i would be interested if i could get a ball park price 4-6 point but with a 4 point premade i could easily make a 6 point

haha.. :pokeowned sorry DJ... ;)

actually believe it or not guys, these cages are very well done, and now that they have a 7 owner, we're bound to see some cool stuff...

RRTEC 05-31-06 12:37 PM

I am soiling myself with anticipation... I almost bought a "style" bar last week from some Co. out of state, I am really glad this thread came up.. WE TN boys need to talk more often.. When is the next meet????

Juiceh 05-31-06 12:52 PM

I'd really like to see some installed\mockup pics ot the hoops and the cages for a vert. RRTEC, you should be guinee pig!

RRTEC 05-31-06 01:06 PM

I am mor ethen willing to suit the Vert up for a test mock up.

djmtsu 05-31-06 02:44 PM

That would be great Trevor. If you want to set up a time or date to bring the car here, that would rock. My car is always here, but as soon as I get my DD I can leave it to mock up some cages for coupes.

ProjectR13B 05-31-06 02:52 PM

I am looking ot have a full roll cage made within the next several months for my car. I will be using it as a DD though and will have all of my interior pieces in. I have a coupe aswell.

id be down for buyin one...but its gonna be hard to make one that works with the vert top because of the way the targa (hard) section of the roof swings down?? i was gonna make one until i realized that...

RRTEC 05-31-06 03:48 PM

The targa section can be removed and placed in the trunk so the "fold down" shouldn't be so bad. Can I get a discount for bieng a guinne pig? lol

RXsevenT2 05-31-06 05:11 PM

Subscribing,

i'd like to see some pics of the vert cage when ready...

fcdrifter13 05-31-06 05:38 PM

Id like to see something like the dual Miata hoops, with a way to put a good harness on

djmtsu 06-01-06 08:26 AM

The plan is to make a cage for coupes that will retain all the fatcory plastic, but you can kiss your dash demister grills goodbye if you want anything more than a 4 point!

We want to make both a full bar and dual hoops for the verts.

Trevor, of course you'll get a hook up for being the guinea pig!!!

Now bring it on!!

FYI- we will not get started on my car untill maybe next week because we are ALWAYS busy. Stay posted.

Trav 06-01-06 12:33 PM

Curious what your mounting plan would be for dual hoops? This probably goes without saying, but obviously for it to be of any real value, it needs to mount to more than just bolts through the floor. Others I've seen have been merely cosmetic...

djmtsu 06-01-06 01:57 PM

We could make two different kits, well several actually, but in reference to the mounting of the hoops, they can be possibly bolted in for show purposes only, or a kit that they can be structurally welded in for true safety.

Trolloc 06-01-06 02:01 PM

i would like to see pics of a 4 point roll with maybe a 6point add on and the top still works and a price on that kit

arkady151 06-01-06 02:11 PM

Interested in anything mentioned for the verts.

Trav 06-01-06 05:09 PM

Would be interested in anything for the verts as well as long as it was structural, not for show. I don't necessarily want them to be welded in -- I'd still prefer a bolt-in solution, but it needs to be to the frame or something that actually adds safety instead of takes it away. :)
