I wouldn't ghetto it. Just be patient and order the correct gaskets.

most of the time i'm making a gasket for diagnosis, so when you need a gasket with no holes or something, you have no choice.

although it does work surprisingly well

There is nothing inherently "ghetto" about a homemade gasket, nor is there anything special about the intake gasket in question that would necessitate extraordinary materials/construction (like an exhaust gasket might).
The $36 nycgps spent on shipping could have paid for a lifetime supply of homemade gaskets.

Suggestions like using cardboard and rtv are in fact "ghetto".

Yes, I agree.

*sigh* I know.

I stopped by Autozone couple hours ago cuz I need to get something, saw this at the very bottom of the shelf that no one ever noticed it, Saw it, almost wanna kill myself, and I bought a roll, was it like 4.99 or 5.99? whatever.

there are 2 other kinds, one is for water pump only, the last one I forgot, something like sealing oil only.

The Autozone that I usually go to has nothing, the new ones I went to today has everything.
