HT18 turbo nipple popping out in boost
Hey guys,
I have a recent rebuild and have around 1,100 miles on her now. Just starting giving her some mild boost and noticed that last night my car started acting a little bitchy. AFR's would peg out lean and the car wouldn't idle. Under load or throttle they were fine. Today I found out after I got it home last night that the nipple on the compressor housing of the stock S5 turbo keeps popping out. I haven't done anything new to it since it was run on my last engine. It is tied into my GReddy boost controller solenoid as it always has been. Wondering what I can do to keep it put inside there where it should stay. It's popped out and come lose like 3 times and doesn't feel snug in the hole anymore. Any input would be great! -Allen G. |
Tap it and put a screw in vacuum fitting on it.

the best bet is probably to just thread in a nipple.
mine is loose too, but doesn't fall out, it just turns easily, cant pull it out. |
