in mint condition or not i think years will still take off the price really fast. its old 6k at most. but it doesnt sound like he's in a hurry to sell it from the story so 6k might not be enough for him.

Down to $8,750 - it's black. Also can be looked at as good or bad, but you have to look at this car the way the current owner obviously did - as a collector car, so use collector car sense. Black was a very popular color, and they made a lot of them in '87 - it also does not have the more rare polished T2 wheels (minus $250), nor the optional wing (minus $150), nor floor mats (minus $50), I'm pretty sure PS wasn't an option on the '87 T2 but I could be wrong... so now we're down to what $8,300? I'm not gonna run through all the options, but I'm just saying how I would look at it and what I would pay.

I'd honestly say $8300 is the MOST I would pay... take into consideration the area the car is in and how many other FCs there are, does he have all maintenance records and original documentation on the car? The LEAST this guy will probably take is $7300 - and thats a big IF.

If you do buy it, whatever you do - be nice to it... keep it original and clean. If you want a race car, buy another one. I had a friend of mine buy an '87 w/ all the options I mentioned above with 80K on it (was still very clean) and DESTROYED it in less than a year... I hate seeing ricers ruin what is becoming a VERY hard car to find in that condition.

Damn for a minute there I thought you were talking about me...lol

IF you do buy that car please don't DESTROY it!!!!

my god, that car is beautiful. i wish mine was like that one. if i had the money, i'd hand over the 7-8k if he was asking for it.

hatemy7 09-26-07 11:59 AM

i would pay up to 10k

iheartthewankel 09-26-07 07:12 PM

holy crap it almost looks like its never been driven i would give 6500 to 7500

its a really nice one expecially for a turbo2 down here all the t2s are crap and wrecked

If I had $7000 to spend on an FC and that one came across my desk, I'd snatch it up. That's hella clean.

then why aren't you flying out there to steal it from under this guy's nose for $8k and the flight cost might be $400? or is this a purely hypothetical response based on the assumption that money is no object?
