How much is this worth? Should I buy it?

I have the money for the car...but wont have the rebuild money for around a month and a half...

I saw that too... might could be fired up with a little MMO, but it might not. I'd ask the seller for more details about what exactly happened.

MMO? Do you think its a good buy for 1500? Do you think I could talk him down?

Id for sure go for it, body looks pretty legit.

IF clean FC's are rare nearby, I'd give a grand for it. If you have to, you can drive a blown apex/1 rotor motor around, given that you don't care how long the clutch lives that is. :D

no more than 1K for a non running FC and that's ONLY IF IT HAS A MINT BODY. GTUs or not. It doesn't matter.

If the exterior and interior are in mediocre shape then no more than $600-$700.

i would shop around. i found mine for 1100 and it runs great. i drive it everyday and i have had it since january. besides the holes in the top and no window motors or power stearing it is great.

RotaryResurrection 07-30-07 01:24 AM

I dont know...this one looks to be a clean body with clean wheels, and clean interior (some parts have apparently been swapped, such as seats and steering wheel, though) and some mods as well. That, plus in some areas of the country non-busted, non-fucked up FC's are hard to come by, so anything decent is worth more in those areas.

Me...here? No, I'd give 6 or 700 for it. But up in the north, it may be worth a grand or more if it is clean.

phoenix7 07-30-07 01:29 AM

it DOES look clean. I know that SOME people think their cars have blown motors when they are only flooded so you might get a great deal at his mistake.

i think 1000 is fair for it in non running ccondition.

Im taking a look at it tomorow...I will see if he will take 1k...I might buy it for 1.1 and il keep you posted. Atkins said they would rebuild and install a tii engine (back when I thought thats the way I was going) They are closed now...Do you think it would be wiser to rebuild...or buy a used engine and swap it (most cost effective)

phoenix7 07-30-07 01:43 AM

it's tough one.

some people say that the JDM engines won't last long but it's a lottery, you never know.

If you are looking for a nice DD then I recommend you rebuild the motor you have now.

If you're looking for power then I would suggest a JDM or USDM motor/tranny/rear end and accompanying parts to make it all work.

I did mine the easiest way: with a DONOR TII so everything I needed was available for removal.
