Here's something for you all to think about...

Teflon coated apex seals and rotor housings.....

I'd like to find a life size rotor made out of solid chocolate. Mmmmmm.

Or better yet, rotor shaped cake. YUMMMMM!

JarrardB 02-03-02 09:07 PM

hhmm.... not quite the response I had in mind but it'll do.

nice fantasy.....

Teflon melts at conisderably lower than 800 degrees found in any 4 stroke engine's combustion cycle, well alone a rotary with its higher duty cycle.

how about a titanium engine :D

cymfc3s 02-04-02 04:08 PM

If the teflon lasts as long on rotors and apex seals as it does on my pots and pans, its a big ol waste of time.

Titanium is really light isn't it....

I can see the bill now .... $xxx, xxx engine......

As for the pots and pans.....it lasts for ages if you treat it right....and pay for top quality shit......but who can be bothered doing that?

Ti expands quite a bit under heat expansion.&nbsp If you're going to go Ti, you'll need to go Ti for ALL parts!
