Question help please

i just want to know if any of these are normal or should i be worried about them.

-after maybe an hour of driving and i open the hood, right when i open it i could feel the hot temperature of the engine. and the air that the fan is blowing is also hot. my mushroom air intake also gets hot. but my temp gauge never changes, its always on the 35-40% of the cool side of the gauge. my coolant is always full. oils good too. checked the vacuum lines and everything looks fine.

-also after maybe an hour of driving, while driving the car i start feeling the center console(in between the seats, above the catalytic converter, around where the shifter is at) getting hotter and hotter the longer i drive. i have the exhaust shields under the car. stock exhaust. i still have both the precats and the main cat. i always check the cat after driving for a long time to see if its glowing, and it doesnt.

so wat do u guys think about it? wat should i do? are they normal? thanks in advance u guys! yes im a noob.

Sounds normal to me, rotors get hot.... Heat transfers. Eventually a heat shield will get hot and youll feel it.

Good news is during winter wont need the heater as much!

The 1st point is definatly normal, second one sounds normal too. Dont worry so much. If your really worried get a temp gauge(aftermarket).

Yes it is fine, stock exhaust temp on 2nd gens, can get up to 1700 degrees.
So that heat you are feeling is the exhaust, and drivetrain.
So don't worry until you get a cat that is red hot, so hot that you can cook a steak on it.
you are good trust me.

The heat in the engine bay is normal. The heat you getting at the center console may or may not be, you could be missing the heat shields that go over the cats and the boots that go around the bottom of the shifter to seal it up are probably shot.
