help no interior lights work...
i was just working on my car hooking up my subs, deck, and amp. when i finally got the wiring figured out (guy i baught it from riged the whole thing) and the deck working i had to find out why my amp wasnt working so i hookd everything up for the amp and wala it works!... so then everything was good, as soon as i hook my subs up bam everything but my interior lights shut off (amp, deck, subs) so i figured loose wires so i hooked it back up tight and it happend again long story short it happend about 2 or 3 more times until the interior lights including my clock and the hatch light all turnd off. the amp shorting out happend to me once before and that was when my batery wasnt charged enough but i knew it was this time because i have been driving it and its been through its cycle. i dont know if theres a fuse for strickly that section or what but if this or anything like it happend to anyone please help. Thanks in advanced.

i checkd all of them the weird thing is is the fact all my amp fuses are perfect the deck fuse is perfect and so is the fuse box its self now im just wondering if its a deeper problem also the clock flickerd on and off when i hit the interior light to go on the light didnt go on but it showed the time and as soon as i hit it again it disaperd

Where are you getting power for the amp from?
|
directly from the battery going through the fuse box to the amp

If the room fuse is blowing (it is used as clock and radio and ECU memory as well as the dome lights) then chances are either the wire is shorted or mis-wired at the back o the radio. |
yea i think i might wire my deck to the powersupply and then run the amp with the subs to the back of the deck to the amp wire im just worried about blowing another fuse

I wired up an aftermarket stereo and accidentally let the power wire for the stereo touch ground. Boom. No more room fuse. Just hook it all up right, replace the fuse, and don't worry about it.

k thanks for everything
