Im pretty new to this site so, pls dont be mad if this is the wrong sections to ask the questions but, Last weekend i bought a second gen rx7. This is my first car and first rotary car, and i noticed in the engine bay theres a piece of pipe that is sucking up air and it has no filters or anything just a pipe in the bay. i have no clue what it is. can someone help me out..

its the intake for the air pump... you need to get a small filter on there if your running a aftermarket intake

 

That hose used to connect to the factory air box. Just buy a small $10 filter for it and be done.
