hella housings

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_5297220...?tp=2791&avf=N

im pretty sure the 200mm is the size of the stock headlight. i tried the feature of "fit my vehicle" where it gives you an idea if it fits or not and it says no. sometimes these things are wrong.

would any 200mm hella housings fit in the fc? or is it a different measurement?

would these be h4 as well? most ive seen have been h4

also, hid kits. the h4 bulb with hi/lo next to it means what it means. as in its the high and low beam in one bulb? or does that even matter?

*edit

to add, i found "200mm H6054 H4 EURO CONVERSION HEADLIGHTS KIT" via ebay.

the brand is autopal and it looks legit. would anyone happen to know how those perform with hid lights?

Yup those will work.
Yes h4 and 9006 are the same.

HID kits, yes hi/low means one bulb.. There is also bi-xenon.. i forget, but one of them is cheaper that it has the hid bulb and a regular halogen bulb underneath it for high beam *the hid cuts off and the halogen kicks on when you hit high beams, looks kinda weird imo*. The one you probably want is the kits that have acutators in them that reposition the hid bulb to hit the high beam pattern in the headlight reflectors, so your high beams are also hid.

Im thinking about getting a kit from DDM Tuning, http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...parent=85&pg=1
A few bmw buddies of mine say they are good quality stuff and its inexpensive.

I got the autopal housings in my car, but crappy bulbs, I suppose with better bulbs they will be better. Best headlights I ever had was raybrig housings wiht silverstar h4s, was awesome. These autopals dont stand a chance compared to those.

My friend bought a H4 Hi/Low kit from DDM tuning before. The Kit that they had is HID Low beam and Halogen hi-beam. Im not sure did they their kit from a year ago.

I guess I should go and revive icemark HID thread, once I find my digital camera cable or get my computer setup.

No they are not. 9006 is a single filament bulb completely different than H4. H4 is the same as a 9003 bulb.
Also don't be a douche and put HID's in housings not designed for it. It can cause accidents

I'm blinded everyday by ricers who think it's cool to put 8k HID's in their Civic's. The housings don't focus the light correctly

Hella's will work just fine with HID Hi'/ Lo's. But you need to aim the cut off a bit lower than what you would with a H4 bulb to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

Cibe E codes are a good choice as well.

^^^That's exactly my point. You shouldn't have to re-aim your headlights to not blind people. H4 housings are a great upgrade from sealed beams but they were not designed for HID's. In my experience with seeing people put HID's into H4 housings is there is no cutoff, it's just scattered light. I have used Sylvania Silverstar Ultra 9003's in H4 housings and it's a great halogen combo.
