heating problems please help

ok ive have been burning up thermostats like crazy ive been though 5 in the past 2 months. WHATS GOING ON!?!?!? my car always over heats like crazy and for some reason have been eating up coolant too what happens is the water pump pushes all the water into the resavoir and pushes it out the little pinhole on that cap. and nothing gets through the thermostat and the steam from no coolant burns them up and then i throw them away and not just that this morning it seemed like my thermos worked but didnt just like a a high degree because when i took it out when it was hot it was open. so does this mean not enough coolant is getting though my radiator??? please help... (oh and i bought all pepboys thermostats.)

Probably a bad rad cap... not a bad thermostat.

And never ever ever use anything but Mazda OEM thermostats. There are countless threads on the fact that aftermarket thermostats just fail or don't work right in the 13B.
