Lets start the debugging process.
We can assume its not a programming error so lets skip to mechanical. Step 1). Remove the lifter motor fuse in the main fuse box under the hood. Step 2). Get down in front of the car on the side of the malfunctioning headlight Step 3). Locate the lifter motor Step 4). Locate the knob on the bottom of the motor Step 5). Manually turn the knob If the Headlight moves then its an electrical problem if not then its a mechanical problem. Mechanical diagnosis: Check and compare both headlight mechanisms trying to locate differences and possible binding points. When and If you can find them try to repair them. Electrical diagnosis: We can rule out that the fuse is the problem since the other headlight works. Check the wiring going to the motor and and from the motor to the connectors and such. Keep an eye out for frays loose connections or cut/missing wires. |
i fixed it .. the little white round screw on bottom of motor was being stopped by some metal so i moved the metal away and shazam it works... but thank you for ur help... i jsut had to do some process of elimination.
