Just wondering if the hatchback supposed to stay up once you open it. :)
Mine doesn't.

check to see if theyre broken, or if anything is messed up, im not sure if there are any common problems w/ them on RX-7's but its an RXD-7 so there probably is a common problem
or get new hatch shocks

you need to struts.

8BF7-62-620 (R)
8BF1-62-620 (L)

Note: for lift gates with no wiper, you need -620A.

believe it or not, they do when the struts are new.
