Got the Fc3s, but already got a minor prob :)

Allright, bought the 7. The car works perfectly, but it's got that annoying uneven idle when warm. It starts great when warm or cold, but when it warms up good enough the idle is somewhat jerky. It pulls nicely and just like we thought it would.

The previous owner thought it might be the TPS, and it hopefully is. I don't think that I'll check the old one, I'll just get a new one for sure. (45€ not that bad). It pulses a bit and the idle is rough, but it feels that the engine bushings need replacement, so I've been thinking.. Might it just be that the engine shakes a bit too much?

sry, bout my bad english I'm a bit wasted and it's 1.30am :pfanndina

might be the TPS. Although a bad tps causes hesitations sometimes. Before spending money on a part that might not be bad. Check the tps first.

Don't just throw parts at your car. It's a TOTAL waste of money. Test it, adjust it, then, if it doesn't work, get a new one.

Make yourself a code checker, its easy and its the best way to find out electrical problems with your engine. There is a good writeup here.

I'd also start replacing your ground cables, the 7 has a nasty problem with these corroding.

Cheers

Thank you for the answers. I'll check the tps today, and see if it'll fix the prob.

Before you go blaming the TPS...
DO A COMPRESSION TEST.
You should've done a compression test before buying the car.
A compression test will give you the best indication if the engine is good or bad.
Bad compression can cause all the symptoms you're describing.
