NZ brings up a good point too......I have always fought with the people who claim the motoria sounds like the RB.....the dumbasses CONTINUE to argue with me about it.........i've had both and they will never, ever, on this earth sound or LOOK alike...

ramello 04-23-06 08:57 AM

i think the funny claims in this thread are over the RB system being heavy.....i dont think any of the above systems can be as heavy as the stock system so right away your saving on weight by switching to any of them
now granted a single exhaust should weigh less than duals but i dont think either of the dual systems can have much difference in weight they woul dhave to be within 3 or 4 lbs of each other i would think which i doubt would make much difference

ramello 04-23-06 08:59 AM

oh and i had the RB on my last TII and getting ready to order it for my new TII that i jsut aquired
top choice defnitly you will love it

But I ended up going with the Apexi N1. Let me tell you man ive had this exaust for 3 years and absoulutly love it. Its the single and you cant beat the sound on a TII. I paid like 500 bucks for this thing and its been hella worth it. Apexi also has the dual series and the GT which is also SS. Look into them man there also VERY good exausts. Oh and expect a noticable power gain.

Whoa there!

Do you have clue what you're talking about?

Corksport is a very LIGHT exhaust! It ONLY COMES IN AN SS version.

Apexi N1 has only a 2.5" inlet, hardly anything for a modified turbo car. All the other exhausts the orginal poster noted are 3.125". The exhaust you mentioned is restrictive NOR full exhaust. He'll gain more off of a Corksport/Motoria/RB setup.

Shines nice and way better welds than most of the stuff SS sells.

NO it isn't a knoc off of the original RB dual! RB doesn't use fart cans on any of their setups.

Madrx7racer 04-23-06 06:44 PM

well, I felt the difference between the Motoria and the Rb when it came to weight.......but my car is completely gutted(will get it weighed this summer).....but it's a good trade off IMHO.......unless you have a full dedicated track car you shouldn't worry to much about the weight of the exhaust......

Right now im stuck between Corksport, Motoria SS duals, and RB.

Borla is a good exhaust but it is ONLY a 2.5" inlet, a little on the restrictive side.

Again its only a CAT-BACK.

It's the same thing as Motoria and simular to CS.

isnt the CS is straight pipe and motoria have cat / presilencer

Brody8877 04-30-06 02:05 PM

Do anyone know how loud is the motoria Single exhaust?

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 04-30-06 02:06 PM

The SS stuff is cheap as shit, go Corksport or get something better.

Brody8877 04-30-06 02:19 PM

cork spork is loud tho.... also SSautochrome is the only retailer in the US for Motoria which is a korean made company.

RotaryWeaponSE7EN 04-30-06 02:34 PM

Go with the Apexi, greddy or HKS system. Better quality and better R&D.

SmogSUX 04-30-06 03:35 PM

A few guys I know are using the SSAC full turbo back single with a borla XR-1 muffler welded on...sounds deep and it's loud, but not too loud...SSAC stuff isn't crap. It would be my best bet if I had a stock exhaust or something and needed a new one...I may end up buying it for when I go single.

Brody8877 04-30-06 07:11 PM

Rite now im debating whether to go single or dual...
sound wise - ie. raspy, deep, loud, etc
power - ie increase boost / ie 20hp w/e
weight - 50lb lighter than stock / 20lb ligther than stock.

KeloidJonesJr. 04-30-06 07:46 PM

Racing Beat FTW. DP, presil., Y-pipe, mufflers.

Tokyo-RX7 04-30-06 08:20 PM

im going custom, im gonna make my full exhaust, headers and all. should be a monster.

Brody8877 05-20-06 10:47 AM

ok here is the deal now, i order my exhuast from SSautochrome - the motoria exhuast, well it never came.... out of stock supposely, and refunded my money. They wont be having it stock in a while, so back to researching...

Now im thinking of corksport, but isnt it kinda loud. But yet i was thinking about getting whole CS setup but getting a presilencer on it, but i heard it doesnt make much of a difference.

Jager 05-20-06 02:49 PM

A presilencer does, just use a Borla XR-1 in place of the midpipe.

OR

Use a Corksport downpipe, midpipe, and a RB cat-back. It won't be restrictive and still be rather quiet.

Brody8877 05-21-06 12:58 AM

Im planning to spend under $800 on the exhaust.
So far RB FTW
CS is good but loud unless some one convince me otherwise.
RB catback is around $530-$600 some where around there

Brody8877 05-21-06 02:12 AM

Supposely the whole CS setup has "resonated midpipe" instead of a straight through midpipe, so iono.
Even tho it consist of the cat back, and dp, only thing supposely different is the midpipe. unless that is a false statement of some sort.

I purchased the Mindtrain exhaust and it is gorgeous on the car. Its a bit loud, especially before I put the inserts in. I had someone follow me home one night before I put the inserts in and they said their teeth were chattering and viberating all the way home from the noise. Apparently Mindtrain stopped making the header w/ pre-silencer combo, so I had a RB racing header put on. It looks awesome. It looks like I have straight pipes.

The wife doesn't like it as its a bit noisy, and taking my foot off the throttle every time a cop rolls by is getting old. I am going to try to fit a pre-silencer on it, but if that doesn't work, I will have to get rid of the system. I love the deep baritone sound of the Mindtrain, but need it to be a tad quieter.

I am debating between the Borla and RB.

brody8877 I see you are in CA like me. The corksport system in CA = state ref ticket. I have the CS 3" DP/stock cat flange, stock cat, Apexi ECV (butterfly that quites it), and 3" CS catback. It got me pulled over in Sacramento and the cop made me pop my hood and gave me a state ref ticket for my FMIC and intake. The cop told me he pulled me over because the exhaust and they look for cars with big fart cans.

So if you are worried about sound GO DUAL. It is very hard to have a legal (under 95 DB) single exhaust. If you are in CA and have mods single is a gamble I lost on. I am going to go dual now.

Anyone have the RB 3" turbo back? Is it still quite? I want power and quite with no fart can to get me pulled over.

Even if it was bolted on to the high flow cat with silencer insert?

I know the sound of the RB exhaust and driven TII with an RB exhaust. It is nice and quite on crusing speed, but once u start to boost hard its gets louder, but over all it has a nice low tone to it.

edomund 05-21-06 02:28 PM

I had a cat and yes it's still extremely loud. With the silencer in is the only way it's quite, but with the silencer in the car has less power than stock exhaust. Kind of defeats the purpose of aftermarket exhaust.

Have you heard the new 3" RB Rev TII turbo back exhaust system. It has 3" DP, 3" presilencer, & catback? Any reverb when cruising on the highway inside the car? Thats what I hated about the CS when on the highway around 3-4K it was annoying.
