This is a friends car..has never had any attention here on the boards, car just came all together now and today decided to do a small shoot .it had the stock turbo and made just over 250rwhp at 12-13psi i believe. now its got a GReddy FMIC, Haltech E6k, Supra/550/1600, To4B Vtrim .96, and a BDC Streetport....expecting 400rwhp. heres the pix of the car with SportMax wheels 18x8.5, 18x9.5 sittin on HKS HiperMax coilovers....

lnlycrpr 08-21-05 05:44 PM

DAMNIT!!! DAMNIT!!! DAMNIT!!!! i thought i was gonna be one of the first with those rims =(

it just makes me want them soooo much more now!!! now i have to get those rims!!

car looks great man!!!

88t2romad 08-21-05 05:47 PM

looks really nice, im not a fan of the 18's though. Whered he get the fmic.....rx7store.net?

1RX7DRIVER 08-21-05 06:04 PM

must be nice

NOPR 08-21-05 06:04 PM

yeah those rims are sweet, but i have to say they'd look better as seventeens. nice car!

Slammedblk7 08-21-05 10:25 PM

the car has a factory paint job, and he bought the FMIC from rx7store, and they only make those sizes in 18's

fc3stech 08-22-05 12:40 AM

I just got to say, your friends car is beautiful:bowdown:, all I am working on now is exterior so I hope to make mine just as nice

jacobcartmill 08-22-05 12:56 AM

hey i have the same turbo with a 115 hotside and my own nice streetporting and i'm praying for 360whp...

yall gonna be on some C SIX TEEN?

vex 08-22-05 12:56 AM

niiiice car. i was undecided about the sportmax 962's... this sealed the deal.

vipers 08-22-05 01:47 AM

great looking car, but the 18"s are only going to slow you down! very heavy! that setup, w/ some nice 16-17" gram lights..... and you have something!!!

kick7ca 08-22-05 12:03 PM

Without a doubt that looks awesome, but...

IMO the guys that put looks ahead of performance and fuctionality, I think that's stupid.
That car will drive and handle all f'd up cause those rims are so huge and heavy. Suspension geometry will be all off, it's now not geared correctly. Far too much unsprung weight. Alot of the money you spend on suspension and on the motor is thown out the window when you put those rediculously huge wheels on. Just my 2 cents.

tIIsleeper 08-22-05 12:20 PM

Yeah, I really think that the 18's are too big for an rx, but it still looks sweeeeeeet!!

tIIsleeper 08-22-05 12:23 PM

I hve to agree with kick7ca about performance over looks. Those rims must weigh a lot!

staticguitar313 08-22-05 12:28 PM

its a hot car

Although I dislike the S5 "conversion" stuff its a nice car on the "inside" It sounds like the guy was doing some good work in the engine bay.

90WhiteVrt 08-22-05 12:35 PM

I think there all just jealous, badass car man!

jkimbro 08-22-05 12:40 PM

Sweet looking ride....I'm with about everyone else on the "performance first" factor though. :)

FD Rey 08-22-05 12:41 PM

That car is beautiful. All it needs a nice lip on the front bumper.

SureShot 08-22-05 12:45 PM

Perfect - except for the decals.

What's with the left lane in the last shot? Are you in Japan??

Bounter 08-22-05 01:16 PM

It looks very nice, I really like it!

Looks like he's in the right lane to me.....pic taken from passenger towards the rear of the car while going down the road.

:)

At what PSI are you looking to get 400rwhp out of a TO4B? I was just wondering, because I was told that T04Bs were only slightly larger than stock. The car looks great, what did your friend do to get the stock paint to shine like that?

whats s5 about it, besides the tails ?

Bukwild 08-22-05 02:47 PM

sweet ride and he will need the 18's on the back along with at least a 255 to keep 400 or so planted on the ground. I have the same problem right now. The full to4 requires you to upgrade alot more stuff than you think. I will try getting some 255's on the back of my 17's and if I am ice skating around I am going 18.
