Stop the flywheel from moving with a small piece of chain attached to one of the PP bolts and that stud in the top right rear of the keg. Put the breaker close to the ground and JUMP on it...Bubba can hold it in place. ...... If the engine is In the car still,I had a Big Rig tire Mobile tire repair come over and blast it off with their impact! |
I ended up just cutting the side of mine, so there's a good place to place a chizzle, and just used an electric jack hammer on that ****... open right up.. :D
and trust me.. all of you saying air impact blah blah blah.. this b***h didnt wanna come off.. and i also didnt have an air compressor good enough to power a 600ft/p impact, only thing i had was a 340 electric. |
i just removed my fly wheel nut on a 12a i thought mine was stuck too. i soaked it in pb blaster for a few days spraying it before i went to bed at night. only reason days is because i didnt have the socket to remove it with yet. i used an ol electric impact from chicago electric. it took an unusually long amount of time to bust her loose . i used the impact then the ratchet then impact then ratchet. got tired of switching so i just used the impact for three or four solid minuets then it it came off. its not reversed threaded either. just a pain in the rear

I've started using my propane torch to heat up the nut till shes red hot and use a 3/4" ratchet. doesn't take much torque.

since were on the topic of flywheels here does anyone know of the proper torque spec for an aftermarket flywheel to the crank?? i have searched for a bit now and cant seem to find it.
i have an ACT clutch and pressure plate and i know the pressure plate to flywheel is about 25 ftb thanks |
