First Things To Do?????

I just got my second RX7.. ITs my first second Gen and my first turbo car period. I want to keep this car for a long time. it has 70,000 miles on it good condition. 5 speed manual T2. Etc.. What are some of the first things I should do to the car to ensure long life. Im a do it myself and in love with rotaries. this is my 6th car, im 17 and will do most all work myself. Anyone have any good maintnence schedules or anything. I do want good perforamcne, maybe some high performacne upgrades, but first just a good overhaul, cheap, that will make this car last.

first you should do the big service, all fluids, filters, plugs. make sure your belts and hoses are good, check the brakes, and suspension, tires.
stuff you should replace now/soon: tstat, pulsation damper, oil cooler hoses, tranny mount, diff mount, tps.

if you want better/more reliable performance start with a downpipe, and maybe a bigger radiator with an electric fan. if the car is an 86-88t2 then you want to keep the boost under the fuel cut (7.5?psi)

tstat, pulsation damper, tps whats that?

ANd how do I go about keeping the psi down. I mean just take it easy on the engine when driving? It has that stock boost gauge on the bottom left but Its not really specific.

thermostat... to get to the pulsation damper, you'll have to take off the upper intake manifold and it's connected to the primary fuel rail... throttle position sensor screw

you can get a fuel cut controller, which tricks the ECU into thinking the boost is lower than what it really is, from Racing Beat, Mazdatrix or other places for about $90-100
