Cool First post, need help with bunch of problems

Hey guys, glad to finally be a part of this forum. I've lurked around for a few weeks but havent really had anything interesting to post yet. I had an 89 GTU that i just sold, and picked up a 91 black on black vert for $600 from a guy that couldnt get it started or get it to keep its charge. Turns out the problem was just the ignition lock, he would pull the key out while on ACC and the batt would drain. Anyway, heres what I still need to work out.

- Bouncing/Increased idle, probably due to a vacuum leak. I was digging around and found that my charcoal canister is completely empty (not sure if anything is actually supposed to be inside) and the bottom cover is just hanging off. Also messed around with the throttle and i found that i could twist it closed to lower the idle or stall the motor completely if i twisted hard enough. Should I be able to twist it shut, or does it probably need adjustment?

- Fuel cut while turning. Problem worsens depending on fuel level, but even at about 1/4 tank this still happens. My coupe never cut out unless i had less than half a gallon left in the tank.

- CD player refuses to accept any cd's anymore. When I got the car it would take a cd, skip horribly, and then sometimes refuse to eject it, but now it acts like there isnt even a cd player there and it wont take a cd.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, any suggestions are welcome! - Tim G.

1. Check the cables (throttle and cruise) cause mine were pretty tight when I got mine running from a previous owner. If not that then I would just begin the hunt for vaccum leaks either from hoses or intake gaskets.

2. Fuel cut, change out the pickup screen that is connected to the bottom of your fuel pump in your tank. That fixes that problem almost everytime. Same problem I had and fixed it. It is probably clogged.

3. Not sure on that one. Could just be going out. I swapped mine for an aftermarket before even messing with mine.
