Fire in engine bay
 

i am currently lookin at a 1988 turbo 2 for $600,that had a small engine fire:(. i know for a fact that the ecu harness has been burned.what else could have been burned that i would have 2 replace.i was thnking that all i really need to to replace is the harness and most of the hoses in the engine bay:confused:.

Hows the hood look? Also peek at the injectors, PD, AFM, and anything else thats costly under the hood.

Cost is hard to say .. I have heard of used harnesses for $150ish, and new ones in the multi hundreds. I would find one ahead of time .. so you know your budget. I mean if you have to pay for $1000 in parts right off the bat... you got a $1600 TII not a $600 one.

Sounds like a good "ground up" restore project. Make you own wiring harness instead.
