Fd exhaust on a fc
Anyone know how close and fd exhaust is to an fc? How close are the hangers and bends to lining up on an fc?

The gas tank is in a different place than on the FC. they're pretty different.

Why not just buy an FC exhaust, many options...

anyhow- my old coupe had a FD exhaust, but it also had a v8. I had Kooks cut the muffler off a week after I got the car so I dont even remember how it was back there, but it was a apexi n1 or copy of that |

Really? Racing Beat Apexi Corksport just off the top of my head. also many people mix and match and use other mufflers such as borla. Why go through the hassle of trying to make an FD exhaust fit when you can get any number of exhausts that already do? |
i just looked at a undercarriage pic of my old coupe, the v8 headers went into single, I guess because it was supported from both sides of the engine bay it didnt require any other hangers because the next one is the muffler itself
it never ever rattled http://robx-7.nopistons.com/d/4773-1/jan+22+015_001.jpg |

Why go through the hassle of trying to make an FD exhaust fit when you can get any number of exhausts that already do? I allready have an FC specific exhaust. This thread is not about that though. Im wanting to know about FD exhaust's on an FC. Im not asking "what exhaust should i get?" |
it can be done pretty easy i have a trust 3" cat back form a fd on my fc you have to make 2 slight bends i forget the degree but after that every thing lines up even the muffler is straight and not cocked to the side here a video i made after i got mine on a while ago

Slight bends in the pipe im assuming?
All the hangers are in the right spot's? |
in that case, I suppose I would just ask "why?"
|
I respect what you're tryijg to do but just what'd the point? A buddy club spec II is pretty much the same thing as it is for an FD save the bends. Just get an FC exhaust and bolt it up and never worry about it again...
Quick tip though, always use a good anti-size on the bolts it will save a LOT of headaches. Trust me lol |

Really? Also, you could bring it to any good exhaust shop and the possibilites are endless set ups. Pick the pipe size, what muffler/s you want, resonators, ect that YOU want. Mix n match. So from what I see, you want the fd exhaust as in why. I wouldn't think there would be any benefit from it at all over an fc. If you like certain parts of the fd exhaust, cut those off and use on what you want, but I still dont see why. |
Yes slight bends pipe at the two bends the fc takes slightly tighter bends the hangs are a little bit farther back on the muffler and the center one is not even close.
Sure I could of gotten a fc exhaust but I found the fd exhaust first |
