FC love

I was just wondering how many people actually like there fc and are not just get on because they couldn't get an fd.

gergrx7 08-11-03 03:32 PM

i love my fc btu if i could get either car for free i would take a fd over an fc but i dont see and fd anywhere in my future i love the fc

SupraDoom7 08-11-03 03:32 PM

I dont own an FC, but I'd rather have on then a FD anyday. Same with my mk3, I'd take it over an mk4 anyday.

eViLRotor 08-11-03 03:50 PM

There is too much $$$ in my FC, for me not to like it.

But I'd trade it in a second for an FD :)

SupraDoom7 08-11-03 04:16 PM

I cant understand people, I love my car because MK3's are so rare now days, I swear 75% of them are in the junkyard. In a few years there will be so few MK3's, and it will be owners like me who continue to completely restore the car + make it faster. Our cars never die the only get faster! Plus the older body style will definately be more of a collectors item, 4 more years and I get collectors plates for my baby!

Same thing with a 2nd gen.

RX7.0 08-11-03 04:30 PM

I love them both. For me, its not one or the other, its FC until it becomes a monster. Then it's time to get an FD as well.

When I first started looking at rx7's a long time ago.. I was all hooked on the 3rd gen and thought the 2nd gen was nasty.

As I kept looking at pics and more pics of the 2nd gen.. I fell in love with it.

A year later I have one. :) I love it.

CoolAl 08-11-03 05:12 PM

second gen all the way.
I love it.

neofreak 08-11-03 05:25 PM

I've had 4 FC's and 2 FD's, and I like TurboII's more, at least for day to day use, they're more fun to drive in the city. =)

Heck, I sold my FD to get a TurboII.

White_Seven 08-11-03 05:37 PM

FC all the way, but if I could get an FD I would (and no, I'd not give up my FC just to get the FD). :D

Champagne87 08-11-03 06:35 PM

I love my FC. I never want to get rid of it. Some day maybe I'll be able to get a FD, but I'll still have my FC.

Yo,

FC fo' Evah!

I'd never own an FD, unless it had an LT1/LS1 in it.

Could of owned an FD. But just barely. I would probably be eating nothing but Ramen and go back to college in my home city to save money. So I just invested the FD money about close to 2 years ago. Its still in the bank so I'm looking to treat myself to a nicer car in a few years (older NSX?)

Anyways, didn't dawn on me that FC's were so cheap. 2-3 grand on average. Thought it'd be a fun weekend car. A still beautiful looking car too. Got my tax return and spare cash, and bought myself an NA FC. Few months later, sold it for a TII. FC love baby!! :D

Gotta love the FC. It's my first car, especially. I think that i would want to get a FD sometime too.

ManGaZeRo 08-11-03 09:07 PM

Yea the question has been pondering on me where to go with the old school fc or the sleek fd both so sexy but which way to go

stevensimon 08-11-03 09:50 PM

i will just take 2 of evrything

introVert 08-12-03 12:56 AM

Fell in love w/ the FC when they fist came out- specifically the 'vert.

She was my first love, and although I would have a fling with an FD, I'll be coming home to my FC every night.

:D

Only if the FD drivers catch wind of his transgression.

I won't tell if you won't!

Icemark 08-12-03 12:58 AM

FC= RX-7

FD= high-maintenance, hard to work on, poor cooling system having, good looking, horrible-for-daily-driving bitch.

ManGaZeRo 08-12-03 02:08 AM

Hmmm... i thought the FD has better maintenance since Mazda had time to improve on the rotary engine and plus it's newer so better parts

introVert 08-12-03 02:59 AM

Well, Icemark said it, so I believe it.

Not exactly. The sequential twin turbo setup is much more complicated with more vacuum hoses, solenoids, actuators, etc. Not to mention that Mazda had to cut some corners in the quality department when they went all out on the FD's performance.

The FD is fast, one of the best cars for cornering, looks great, but even that can't hide its numerous recalls, lack of quality, and reliability.

ManGaZeRo 08-12-03 03:18 AM

haha... so i guess what u r saying that the fd is almost a complete pos for daily driving
