FC Door Speakers
not sure on the mid door speakers, but I'd say shallow depth.
Just call crutchfield and ask them which ones you should buy for you year.
BTW - get their free quarterly catalog if you don't already.

Wow, this thread got nicely edited...
Anyway; I know for a fact that crutchfield it slightly... "conservative" on their mounting depths. Also, I have the speakers purchased, and won't use anything but (if I have to make alterations to my car, that's not a problem. I've done it to other cars before). I would just like to know a TRUE, MEASURED, max depth of the mid-door location.

the answer for your question is 2" from the middle of the factory cut-out to where the window is in the down position. I put a 3/4" mdf spacer and it is raised to 2 15/16".
I am trying to fit a true 6" midbass in the door (above napkin holder) and they're 3" deep. ARGH!
To the people that posted earlier to this post, post again please (for ideas). Thanks!

^^^ Same thing I'm trying to do. Memphis Multi-Syncs.
Don't forget about the thickness of the trim ring, if you decide to put that in too; it should get you more than that 1/16th you need.
