Engine Start

Was cranking engine . but then it stop cranking and now when i turn on the engine it sounds like a vacuum cleaner any ideas???

Sounds like the engine may be flooded. Give us more info. Series 4 or 5? Turbo or NA? if it's s5, try holding the gas pedal all the way to the floor while cranking to de-flood it.
