engine start

is there a way to start the engine without the ignition? And no I'm not trying to rip off a car, lol. Someone said I could plug jumper cables from my beater to the rx7's starter is this true? Is there an easier way? Where is the starter? Thanks!!

is there an easy way to test the clutch switch?

I donno any of that stuff but I can tell you that your starter is pretty deep under your car right where you engine ends and your tranny starts. Its just like a little bit past your wheels. To push start a car, does the key have to be in the on position?

well I had to push start my 89 626 the other day and I had the key in the ignition and the dar in first gear then when someone pused me I poped the clutch.
