Engine!!help!!

okay, i have a 89 GTus n/a. the car start up fine. the engine will run fine until you apply about 25% throttle anything more then car staggers until i release throtlle the idles normaly. i had to drive it home, all while i did not apply more than 1 quarter of the pedal. the car will easilly climb through the RPMs even to redline ,as long as i dont give it more gas. what could i check to find the problem . anny suggestions? thanx

yeah, check the tps, if you've got a digital multi meter it will save you a lot of guess work and money.

Why are you bumping? Dude, did we just tell you to check the TPS. Yes, so why are you wasting your time bumping this thread when you should be fixing your problem.

Does your Check Engine light come on?

My GTUs has a blown engine and at Idle it will rev great, but under load it accelerats terribly slow and once too much fuel builds up in the exhaust it goes into limp mode and dies.

Sounds like the TPS is out of adjustment and or malfunctioning...Check it with a digital multimeter, you can get the proper specs from the FSM or a Haynes manual.
