Question engine code question..

i got a 90' s5 gtu and the engine light kept comming on. so i did the engine check.. and it showed that i got error number 17, and 18.. but how do i find out where i can fix it, or somthing that shows it.. i got 17 which is

17-feedback system,

oxygn sensor output remains 0.55v 10sec. after F/B system operation beginning -- feedback system canceled(for EGI)

and 18 which is,

18 throttle sensor (narrow range),

broken wire, short circuit -- signal fixed at full open..

im just curious how i am to fix it.. i could just try fixing it but i wanna be sure of, or at least have a bit more info of the problem.. and thats why i ask for you guys help... thanks. anything will be much appericated.. or even if better has anyone had these engine code before. and how did you guys solve it.??

You'll need to check the wiring at the ecu to see if any signal or wiring broken. The O2 sensor has a very, very thin wire inside an insulated cable. If broken inside the cable, takes time but can be fixed. Some just run the wire from the O2 sensor directly into the ecu, through the firewall. Best check the circuit on each to see if interrupted.

I checked the wires for my ECU and they are all fine. Where else should I look for the problem?

Did you check continuity with a meter? One lead on wire @ sensor, other lead on wire at ecu. If you've got uninterrupted current, then it beats me unless sensor completely gone and therefore no signal.

My friend says its my O2 sensor, but it tested out fine just the day before. I hope I did not break it... :/
