i am dong my emissions removal and want to know what solenoid i have to keep to make it look like the vac line diagram

rx-7 obsessed 11-07-09 04:59 PM

all i did was kept my twin scroll valve solinoid and check valve. the rest can be tossed. (3rd pic) (the one your fingers on) you will also want to make sure that check valve is working properly

rx-7 obsessed 11-07-09 07:27 PM

make sure you check futher down the vac line. it should be a green and white check valve with an arrow marking the air flow. if one is missing yes you will need one i will go take a pic of mine if u need it i have the same year and motor.

here are the same pics, labeling the first solenoid and the check valve ..... and just for reference the solenoid im holding in the the pics is the same solenoid

barnett87rx7 11-08-09 08:26 AM

a pic of yours would be great

rx-7 obsessed 11-08-09 09:57 AM

ya all of the other solinoids can be removed here is a pic the first one is just the valve itself and plug. the check valve is kinda jammed between the altinator and oil filler neck. the arrow on the valve points towards the altinatior or passanger side of the car. make sure you install it the right way lol. it also dont hurt to blow through it and make sure you cant suck air. if you can you will need to find a different valve.

i know its hard to see but in the second photo the valve is the white and green thing just beside the throttle cable bracket. sorry about the crappy pics my car is stored outside for the moment. by the time i drove to where it was it was pitch black.
