Question electrical problem help please!!!!

ok i just found this out an hour ago, so ididnt get a chance to check anything yet but.....heres the problem

the headlights themselves work fine, they go up and they light up

the problem is.......when i put the high beams on one light just suddenly goes out...when i turn the hi's off it goes back on...........and when i use the hi's when the lights are down only one light goes on.
