Electrical hellllp please!!!

I wonder if one of you has seen anything like this. My accessories are acting really weird. Things like:

1. If I open the door, the clock resets to 1 pm.
2. The radio works from one speaker and only very low bass on accessories. All speakers work if the car is running, but reception is lousy.
3. The dome lights don't work at all.
4. If the radio is on, the door idiot light comes on at about half illumination.

These are the highlights anyway. This is an 88 vert.

The problem seemed to start about the same time the power antenna internal nylon cable snapped and I pulled it for repair. Putting it back in doesn't seem to help.

You have a blown room fuse in the drivers kick panel.

You more than likely blew it when you distroyed your power antenna.

Is there still the factory radio in the car? That can have some influence on your problems as well.

Icemark,

Thanks. I'm on my way outside to check the room fuse right now. Yes, it's still the factory radio. I was just going to leave the power antenna out and stick in a regular old antenna. You think that's ok?

Thanks a lot!

Sure... you probably just shorted the wire or antenna when you were removing it, but double check that there are not any pinched or broken/cut wires at the antenna.

Icemark,

Thanks!!! That was it. I thought I was in for a long game of "find the bad ground" or something. I don't understand why a blown fuse affects so many things so oddly, but that was it. Thanks again.
