I hear down pipe from alot of people but i also heard turbo manifold. Directions also say to hook up the turbo mainifold. please help me decide. thanx

If you're running a Zenki FC turbo, put it in the turbo exhaust manifold.  You'll get quicker response and a more accurate reading off the probe installed there.
With a Kouki FC turbo, the turbo exhuast manifold is divided, so you can only take readings off one side, unless you buy another EGT.  It's "safer" to install the EGT probe in the downpipe, unless you're going to run two EGT (probes)... -Ted |
it's also alot easier to install into the down pipe... get the probe installed into the pipe before you install it. you need another hole with a nut welded on.

how many degrees will the reading be off if its installed on the downpipe as close as possible to the turbine?

Yea, I was wondering about this as well because I am ordering my egt gauge today more than likely and will be doing a little tuning myself using it.

On average 20°C - 40° or about 100°F...

So what wording should I use to tell Maztech where to install the probe? "In the turbo manifold"? Or what? Thanks.
