Dropping in a jspec.....

Hey, I have a 87 turbo ii with a blown rear rotor. Recently Ive decided to buy a s5 motor, but if anyone would be kind enough to list *everything* needed to put a s5 motor into a s4 body it would be great.

Assuming the s5 motor is a complete long block.

Besides the way... its a s5 jspec (just to be more accurate). Any and all info would be great.

motor (of course)
engine harness
ecu
pressure sensor
afm
new gauge cluster if you want the marked redline, but if you dont care, i dont see why you would need to change it

i cant think of anythying else, but id ask more people anyways

Wont the pressure sensor/afm/gauges and maybe the ecu off my 87 turbo ii motor work?

nope for one the injector are a diffrent voltage.. and the earlyer ECU wont do them...

Would it be possible to swap everything off my s4 block? So basically I would be using the s5 block, turbo, and manifolds? But injectors/sensors/tranny/any other accessory from my current one?

You HAVE to swap everything off your s4 block. The s5 wiring and ecu will NOT plug into your cars dash harness. You swap everything right down to the front cover, but keep the flywheel and front counterweight that came on the engine(these are weight/balance specific). Youll be able to drop it in and plug it up this way, and the car will run just like it did before. The other alternative is a NIGHTMARE of splicing and second-guessing. BEsides, you can make a lot o fmoney selling all the s5 t2 stuff. Keep in mind the s5 turbo and manifold are preferred, so you might wanna keep those on the new engine, as well as the intercooler and maybe even intake manifolds, but things like injectors and sensors MUST be swapped, as well as keepig your old s4 throttle body and OMP.
