Stupidest comment I have EVER heard.

I'm not a ricer. I want my car to look good, as it is. If I was a ricer, my interior would have ATLEAST 10 other gauges... my whole interior would be 3 tone yellow black and blue or green or something.

I want my car to look good... sorry. I'm interested in performance MORE THAN looks, which AUTOMATICALLY gets rid of any ricer approach... but I don't want it to look like shit either.

That is a beautiful interior :)

Can I ask ya a quesiton... why the hell does your e-brake handle go up so high? HAH, Mine only goes up HALF that, but is still fully engaged.

everyone's a ricer nowadays... *sarcasm*

im getting sick of how many people on this forum call others ricers... i mean, i love this forum and all the info and help it gives, but it seems like people are always calling everyone ricers...

and in response to t2greddyrx7, just because someone wants there interior to look good doesnt make them a ricer.. a ricer, to me, is someone that custom fabs everything in bright annoying colors and spends thousands of dollars in crap.. but when someone like me paints some of the black stuff in the interior gunmetal to blend in with the rest of the grey dash, does that make me a ricer?

Thanks :)

About my E-brake, I dunno it just goes up pretty high :p: I think it may need adjusted though, it doesnt hold all that great on really steep hills.

And to Hpram99-
Yea the stock shifters sit pretty high, unless you have a S5 shifter, they sit a bit shorter.

If you mean the floor-mats..I got them off ebay a year or 2 ago. I havent seen them anywhere lately though. The carpet is stock..

Zer0 Cylinder 01-18-04 09:07 AM

oh its light gray.........at first look, it looked tan.

sectachrome 01-18-04 11:23 AM

i like the old school look

n4ji 01-18-04 12:12 PM

Yay for double post...

n4ji 01-18-04 12:15 PM

The 10AE interior is awesome, especially when everything's shining with Armor All. It's a lot better than my 94 Cutlass's interior, therefore I tell you STFU!

:D

PHATFC3S 01-18-04 03:42 PM

i like the interior in the fc's especially if its clean. but, i do think its a little outdated to some of the newer interiors of most cars

88IntegraLS 01-18-04 04:59 PM

The only thing I really don't like is the center console . . but that is easily enough changed if you can make stuff out of fiberglass. :yum:

Seraphx7 01-18-04 06:31 PM

I think it looks very modern. When I was looking to purchase my RX my father (whom Is into cars and whatnot, seems thats all we talk) had no clue about RX-7s and he thought it would be some old wretch. but when I brought it by to show him he was impressed and thought it looked very modern.

TheGreatLouisianaRoadkill 01-18-04 09:00 PM

the interior doesnt bother me. the only thing that was dated about my 86 that bothered me was the tail lights. the tail lights, to me, really reeked the 80s and looked too much like old toyota beaters thats why i decided to get some S5 tails, but other than that i like the looks of the car.

RunningDeer 01-19-04 12:30 AM

What out dated interior?? Mine looks as nice as any other! :)

86gxlsp 01-19-04 10:10 AM

i love my old school '80 sports car interior.

anobii 01-31-04 01:25 AM

Know what pisses me off? Ever seen the interior of a ford probe? Has a striking resemblance to an rx huh? Stupid ford crackers stealing from the japanese, Haven't they taken enough?! Shame on ford, shame, shame. :P

MountainTurbo 01-31-04 01:26 AM

I really like the interior on my 88 TII. It's been really well taken car of, so it's still pretty nice.

And compared to my 86 Camaro Z28's interior, it's freaking amazing! Much less rattling etc. too:D

RXSevenSymphonies 01-31-04 02:48 AM

My 88 TII's interior is way better than my 96 Mustang. Much more ergonomic and comfortable, lots more leg room too, even with my seat in the Mustang moved about 2" farther back than it is stock, WAY less squeaks and rattles, although since I soundproofed the door panels and rear interior of the Mustang.. its doing better. But still.. the mustang interior just feels like its not together...it feels hollow.. everything in the 7 feels much more solid.

cool mats man, where'd you get those?
my OEM ones are starting to look a little rough

I love my interior, I don't understand why people still bastardize their RX-7s when they're so close to being classic cars. I'm 6'2" no problems.

pr0dis 02-01-04 09:17 AM

I wouldn't have a problem w/ it only if...

only if I didn't have the MAROON interior, I'm really jealous of all you guys out there with th nice grey interiot...that never will REALLY look that dated but...when I get into my camaro/chevy baretta MAROON interior I alway have to ask myself "What were they thinking?

Other than that it's cool I sill think it has one of the nicest shifter knobs and boots out there

Well... I have to admit guys.. I went in my car last night, sat in it for a few mins. Just sat there. Just interior lights on, car off, radio on, just chillin. I do love my damn car! LOL! I just was wondering if anybody's else's opinions were on it... as the interior doesn't really get to me THAT bad... like I said in the first pages, it was a FEMALE (isnt that the source of EVERY problem  ) that brung it up...

Oh well, no matter what, I STILL love this car.

GTUser 02-01-04 05:07 PM

I have an beauriful, black 89 GTU with an interior that has held up extremely well. I like having to crank the windows up and down, having no cruise control so that I have to mash the gas the whole time I want to go, The only problems with it are the defroster vents, the rocket launcher, the passenger side ejection seat, and the interior light switch.
I bought new defroster vents from Mazda dealer and have really enjoyed figuring out ways to fix the other things, I can't afford a rocket reload and my wife insisted that I deactivate and remove the passenger side ejection springs. I am still working on fixing the light switch and replacing the wiper switch assembly. No, its not a 3rd Millenium sports car. These cars are 13+ year old cars that attempt to out smart you whenever they get cranky. You've just got to determine that you are smarter than your car. With the help of your friends here at the RX7 Club your car doesn't stand a chance!

But then my first car was a 1966 Triumph GT-6, 4 speed. So I guess your opinion of what is dated depends on what you've seen and driven in the past.

I love the interior of my new s5. The all black looks amazing i think. It's way better than my 1st gen CRX anyway, even though that wasn't even too bad. I just wish I could afford to ditch the seat covers and reupholster the seats or buy something non-leather (the whole vegan thing w/ leather seats doesn't fit.

btw i LOVE the tail lights on my Vert. I don't htink I could have designed them any better!
