wouldnt a vacc leak cause a higher idle? cause its sucking in more air past the afm. . . so the afm isnt measuring it and would therefore be lean. . . causing a higher idle.
no because the AFM is metering the air... run outside and pull off the BAC hose that goes to the intake tube after the AFM... good luck keeping the car running... if more air gets in than the meter says it is then the car will bog out from too much air and too little fuel.. make sense now?

dont cars bog down cause the get too much fuel or waaaaay too little? i had a 5mm hose pop off of my UIM once on my fd and the idle shot up to 3k rpms and stayed there. . . because the leak was AFTER the boost sensor. why did it act differently on my car then??? maybe its cause of the whole boost sensor thing then. . . i dunno. . . just going from my experience. . . same when trying to pass emissions when using a carb. . . pull a vacc. hose to get more air in. . . idle goes up slightly.

well when my AFM was fucked up and i was getting pretty much just fuel then my car would bog and felt like it was hitting a brick wall.... if you dont think it bogs then go cover up your AFM and give it some gas... when you do that you dump fuel in and no air pretty much causing the combustion to mess up bogging the motor... i was also just telling him from my experiences :)
